MAD Fab is always looking for experienced artists, tradespeople, and management staff to join our team.

Our positions include:

 

CarpenterSTARTING HOURLY RATE $18.00-$22.00

This position covers a broad spectrum of skills and talents, most of which are required to apply:

  • Perform hands-on carpentry work including framing, finishing, cabinetry, and other wood working tasks, while demonstrating proficient-level craftsmanship.

  • Proficiency with common hand or power tools, especially those used in the process of Carpentry.

  • Interpret blueprints, shop drawings etc. to ensure accurate execution of a project.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Adhere to MAD FAB safety regulations.

  • Creative problem solving to make jobs come together as efficiently as possible.

  • Willingness to work outside of your trade of choice if the shop deems it necessary for the completion of a project or when work load in the carpentry department slows (e.g., a carpenter being moved to the fiberglass department temporarily to finish a project under a tight deadline.)

  • Punctuality and consistent attendance

  • A motivated work ethic.

  • Communicating clearly and concisely with team members and supervisors alike.

  • Dependability.

  • Having a positive attitude and being able to work well on a team.

Fiberglass TechnicianSTARTING HOURLY RATE $18.00-$22.00

This position covers a broad spectrum of skills and talents, most of which are required to apply:

  • Perform hands-on fiberglass work including gel coating by hand and by pneumatic cup gun, laminating, mold making, mold prep, hand laying, and proper resin mixing, while demonstrating proficient-level craftsmanship.

  • Be willing to learn or come ready with the knowledge of how to create GFRC and GFRG products

  • Proficiency with common hand or power tools, especially those used in the process of FRP laminating or mold making.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Adhere to MAD FAB safety regulations, which does include mandatory use of a respirator when working with resins and fumes.

  • Creative problem solving to make jobs come together as efficiently as possible.

  • Willingness to work outside of your trade of choice if the shop deems it necessary for the completion of a project or when work load in the fiberglass department slows (e.g., a Fiberglass Technician being moved to the carpentry department temporarily to finish a project under a tight deadline.)

WelderSTARTING HOURLY RATE $18.00-$22.00

Mold Maker/CasterSTARTING HOURLY RATE $18.00-$22.00

Senior Project ManagerSTARTING HOURLY RATE $30.00

This position covers a broad spectrum of skills and talents, most of which are required to apply:

  • Project Management Skills: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Strong understanding of project lifecycle. Proficient in project management software and collaboration tools.

  • Proficient understanding of trade skills, processes and other facets of themed construction and fabrication.

  • Leadership and Communication: Proficient leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate team members. Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts to team members and clients at all levels.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project-related issues. Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure, manage conflicts, and handle competing priorities. 

  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proficient organizational and time management abilities, with a focus on attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, scope, and priorities. Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

Apprentice: STARTING HOURLY RATE $15.00

We offer apprenticeship opportunities for less experienced but still interested individuals or individuals looking for an internship for school. This position and expectations can vary based on the needs and skill level of the applicant
